Flame-retardant aluminum adhesive tape is produced, among other things, for masking aluminum-laminated pipe insulation during the installation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. But even if you don't need it for this purpose, you can benefit from its diverse properties:
Due to its high temperature resistance, the aluminum adhesive tape is well suited as flexible heat protection because it both conducts and reflects heat. Since its surface also reflects light, you can use the aluminum tape e.g., when building lights. Aluminum adhesive tape is resistant to a large number of chemicals - and therefore also a robust masking tape.
The advantage over plastic adhesive tapes is, in addition to their high thermal resistance, their good resistance to moisture, weather and UV rays. Unlike plastic, aluminum does not become brittle after prolonged exposure to heat or cold.
