The Arches watercolor block ends your search for a high-quality, coarse-grained rag paper. Produced in a traditional process on a cylinder mould machine, its sheets offer you a quality comparable to handmade papers. They are acid-free and resistant to ageing. Thanks to the evenly distributed cotton fibers, the paper is also strong and retains its shape.

The paper is sized with natural gelatine. The pigments are fixed to the surface so that their transparency and luminosity are shown to their best advantage. As the sizing increases the strength of the paper, you can erase, scratch and remove the pigments again if necessary without tearing your work or loosening paper components. The watercolor paper is dimensionally stable - it can absorb a lot of water, but does not become too absorbent thanks to the gelatine.

Even if you want to try out other wet techniques in addition to watercolor painting, the four-sided glued Arches watercolor pad is also ideal. The 300 g/m² paper is also suitable for ink, gouache and acrylic.
