Book screws can be opened and closed, again and again. This is why they are particularly useful for your bookbinding work, where flexible filling heights or quickly exchangeable sheets are essential: for photo albums (e.g., like our photo album with screws), presentation folders (e.g., presentation album with screws), menus, or sample books. If you need more (or less) fill level, simply change the book screw length, or use the extensions.
The indicated lengths describe the possible thickness of the "book" between the screw heads. The fill level is a little bit flexible above the given limits, depending on how far you turn the screw into the shaft. Under no circumstances should you use book screws that are too long, because otherwise, the bound papers will have too much movement and can become damaged.
All our standard book screws have a shaft diameter of 5 mm. Therefore, for pre-drilling holes, you can use a puncher that makes 5 mm holes, a hand drill, or for holes with a little more play, also a standard hole punch.
Modulor DIY-Tip: If you want to make a photo album yourself like the photo album with screws, you will need, e.g., photo cardboard, solid black cardboard, and Filmoplast T, in addition to the book screws.
