What is not possible in the production of metal book screws, is possible with these plastic screws: They are manufactured with a continuous longitudinal hole so that you can also pull a chain or cord through the connection (e.g., nickel-plated ball chain or polyamide nylon thread). For example, sample sets, information brochures, or self-made wall calendars can be hung up easily. In comparison, work bound with metal book screws requires an additional suspension eyelet loop for hanging. However, this is a good alternative if you do not want to use plastic for your binding.
Plastic book screws can also be opened and closed again and again so that you can quickly replace pages.
The indicated lengths describe the possible thickness of the "book" between the screw heads. The fill level is a little bit flexible above the given limits, depending on how far you turn the screw into the shaft. Under no circumstances should you use book screws that are too long, because otherwise, the bound papers will have too much movement and can become damaged.
With lengths of 15, 30, and 50 mm, the cannulated plastic screws complement our latching rivets with holes, which are designed for thinner binding thicknesses of up to 9 mm in height.
The plastic book screws have a shaft diameter of approx. 6 mm, which means that the best way to pre-drill holes is to use a 6 mm punch.
