You simply apply the required glue with the brush included in the scope of delivery. The tools that are also included - a folding leg, a corner cutting device and a blanket making angle - make the work as comfortable as possible.

Then you attach the bookmark and the headband and place the book block in the binding. After gluing the endpapers, it is advisable to weigh the book down and let it dry overnight before using it as a recipe collection, diary or planner.

With this screen printing set for beginners, you have all the utensils, tools and materials you need for screen printing (with the exception of a light and clamps). You can use it to print textiles such as T-shirts, sweaters, etc. with your own motifs/graphics up to A4 size in black.

In addition to this set, you will also need a standard inkjet printer so that you can print your motif onto the film for screen exposure. You can also paint your motif directly onto the film. Opaque black markers (not included in the set) are particularly suitable for this.

With the set, you can expose your own motifs in the screen printing frame and then print e.g. 50 T-shirts yourself in a very high quality and durable way. The other products included in the set are suitable for both paper and textile printing.

You can use the screen printing set again and again: If your frame has a motif that you no longer want to print, simply wash your old motif out of the screen with the decoater. You can then re-coat the screen and expose a new motif. To do this, you can use a halogen lamp (from 400 watts, not included in the set) or simply sunlight. You can therefore redesign your stencil again and again and print different motifs.

With a carving block and and cutting tool you can make your own stamps. Stamping is a relief printing method similar to the classic linocut technique. As compared to the latter, working in/with rubber has a bunch of advantages: the material is clearly softer, a lot less effort is needed to carve it as compared to linoleum panels - which is one reason this type is much more suitable for kids to work with. And any chance of injury is not only much less for children but for everyone else as well. A further advantage of carving rubber as compared to linoleum: rubber is naturally less brittle and precision tools are much less likely to break when working on it - as can happens with linoleum under some circumstances.

The soft surface allows for clean cuts in all directions when, for example, working with linoleum carving tools but also with a wood carving knife, a scissors or a kitchen knife. The density of the material allows both sides to be worked on. Basically every kind of paint can be used when making prints with this block; in the case of paints containing solvent, however, a test should be made to check the compatibility with the (synthetic, and also latex-free) rubber.

What is the difference between the white and blue versions of the rubber? The white version is somewhat softer, which makes it the best choice for kids because it is easier to work with. The blue version, on the other hand, is better for really fine, precise carving because it is somewhat firmer and stable and somewhat less elastic.

As an exception, the information for material freaks first: The upper and lower parts of these beautiful tool chest from Japan are made from a single piece of sheet steel. The forms are therefore entirely without welds. The result is a very light box, but powerfully stable and robust. The details from the manufacturer "Toyo Steel" are well thought out: rounded corners, a folding carrying handle, and a secure clasp that doesn't move during transport.

Not only can you keep your small tools in the Tool Box, but also office and art supplies, sewing kit supplies, or the children's highly important secret frills. Of course, the material freaks can also simply stroke their Tool Box on the shelf...

"Stamps turn the smallest piece of paper into something special," says graphic designer Katja Kücherer. She's designed the simple and very graphic miniature motifs for every occasion. The stamps are made exclusively in Germany.

To have fun for a long time, you should stamp the rubber on a damp cloth after use until there are no more color residues.

The conclusion expressed by one of our staff members at Modulor – a trained woman bookbinder – after making a test run with this bookbinding glue was: “It does exactly what it´s supposed to do”. In other words, it has a variety of uses and reliably creates the bonds you need for bookbinding work.

It is a dispersion glue that contains a plasticizer and becomes a colourless, transparent, resilient elastic film of glue when cured. The film is moisture-proof, resists yellowing and is aging-resistant. On the one hand, it can be used for glue bonds with or without gauze when making a book block and the like, or, on the other, for flat glue bonds on paper, cardboard and paperboard. When gluing plastic or paper that is coated with varnish or silicone you should switch to our Planatol AD94/5 glue.

The glue can be thinned up to 10% with water or moistened paste in order to increase its spreadability so it can be used for larger surface areas. In this case the paste alternative is better than water because the gluing strength of the mixture is thereby not decreased. Acrylic colours can be added to the glue if coloured bonds are needed, or you can add luminescent pigments – then the book spine or, alternatively, the notepad will glow in the dark!

Regarding aging-resistance: we cannot really certify this attribute because our glue was not put through the expensive testing necessary for certification but is indeed based on a synthetic resin, which on its own is acid-free and aging resistant, so our assumptions are not without basis.

In the video, five different options are presented. One uses for example rubber bands, cords, clips and foam rubber popsicle sticks. In the end, five colorful tea towels with different patterns are created.
