Design an advent calendar according to your own ideas! This variant not only offers you the option of filling the inlay made of cast paper fiber yourself: The door box of the plastic-free product can also be personalized with a motif of your choice - the XL version even on the front and back.

There is an S version with 12 small compartments (each 4 x 7 x 3 cm) for Christmas surprises and an XL version with 12 smaller (9.4 x 5.8 x 7 cm) and 12 larger (15.6 x 5.8 x 7 cm) compartments.

Tip: You can use the sustainable paper fiber insert as a seed pot in spring. As soon as your tomato, bell pepper and lettuce plants are big enough, the small containers can easily be planted in with them. They rot in the soil or can be disposed of as organic waste.

The tapes stick in place reliably and stay there; i.e. they do not fall off by themselves like a lot of other cheaper versions. The embossed characters are clearly recognizable and those results do not diminish even after much use.

Please note: The way the embossing of the characters into the self-adhesive tape works in the device is that there is a positive stamp on the underside of the tape and a negative stamp on the upperside. These different stamps are arranged on two wheel discs that are turned by hand when you are making your selection of one of the characters. If it should happen that the two wheel discs do not move in sync during this process, the device will no longer emboss correctly because the negative and positive stamps no longer belong to the same character but instead are displaced in relation to one another. The two wheels, however, can indeed be brought back into sync quite easily by hand without damaging your device. The lower disc has different lay-outs for the numbers and letters that are all equidistant from each other. Only one of these many fields is somewhat wider, the one that belongs to the symbol "scissors" which is the cutting-off function. At that position it is easy to see if the two wheel discs are indeed in sync.

You may not have heard of the material, but you probably know it at least from its effect: Ferrocerium is used as a spark-generating igniter in mechanical lighters with wheels. As soon as the fluted wheel is turned on the stone - i.e. when it rubs against it - sparks are generated. In the lighter, the sparks are sufficient to ignite gas or gasoline. Using the same principle, you can create sparks manually with this fire iron and use the very hot but briefly existing sparks to ignite easily flammable materials. Rub the fire iron along the enclosed spark striker and try to direct the sparks at or into an easily combustible material. Classically, this material is scale, but alcohols (spirits), gasoline, and other volatile hydrocarbon compounds will certainly catch fire as well.

Here's how you create sparks: Hold the wooden handle firmly with one hand and rub the ignition metal away from the handle briskly and very forcefully with the spark scraper or the back of a sharp-edged knife until the sparks fly.
