Our smooth book printing paper, which is also known as Munken Pure, is a universal design and publishing paper that is used in offset printing as a book printing and personal stationery paper. The name book printing paper refers in general to a paper that is not bright white but rather somewhat yellowish.
Its volume, despite its smoothness, is relatively high (1.3-fold volume). This paper is resistant to aging per ANSI 39-48-1992 and ISO 9706, chlorine-free bleached (TCF) and free from optical brightening agents. A guarantee for a certain period of time, during which this paper remains unchanged, cannot be derived from either of the two quality standards. Paper aging depends largely on storage conditions. Thus, e.g. discoloration by direct sunlight is quite possible.
This smooth drawing paper is great to use when employing intricate drawing techniques with ink, ball point pens or fibre tipped pens. In its role as printing paper, it is used in the production of books, brochures and other high quality printing applications.
All of this type of paper with a grammage up to and including 150 g/m² is guaranteed to accept ink-jet and laser printing. The attributes of any colour printing work should be tested individually because the various printer brands do not make any binding claims in this regard.
