Ultra-matt and highly opaque: over 200-year-old recipes form the basis of the water-based mineral paint Chalky Look from Fleur. Originally, the product was used for the restoration of historic buildings, but the paint also gives your walls, furniture and decorative items a new coat of paint. It has a pigmentation of 40% and a light reflectance of 2 - so it is highly opaque and matte even without being a lime paint.
In most cases, you do not need to pre-treat the surface. The chalk paint adheres to almost all surfaces, as long as they are clean and free of grease or dissolving paint. For a longer durability of your paint, you can consider using an adhesive primer.
Mineral paints bond to the substrate. Over time, a natural patina will form from scratches and the like. To protect against stains, you can seal the mineral paint with varnish or wax after drying.
Thanks to its creamy consistency, the chalk paint is easy to apply. Brush strokes are no longer visible after drying. There is nothing to prevent its use indoors: The paint is free of volatile particles. If you apply several coats of paint, ensure a minimum drying time of one hour and a maximum drying time of four hours.
