The Fleur paint system for green chip effects offers all the necessary paints and agents to create a controlled greenish-bluish patina on any surface. All colors are water-based and easy to apply.
The first coat is the primer. This should be primed (with a brush) especially on non-absorbent surfaces. The primer is not absolutely necessary on absorbent grounds, as the subsequent metal paint (light or dark) usually adheres well there. As with all adhesives and paints, the surface must be clean, i.e. free of dust and grease, before application.
It is best to brush on the metallic paint in two coats at intervals of about three hours. The paint contains copper pigments, so it is first copper-colored before the patina develops in the paint. After another three hours, you can apply the oxidation activator to the paint with a natural sponge (dab unevenly). This application will greatly stimulate the patina formation. Let the activator work until you like the resulting patina image. This is usually the case after one to two hours.
You can then prevent further oxidation by applying the "Oxidation Stop" agent over the entire surface of the patina with a paint roller to protect it. You can protect the patina even better with a second coat of Oxidation Stop (after the first coat has dried).
