The Golden Extra Heavy gel has the most pasty consistency of all the Golden gels; its consistency is similar to that of Nivea skin cream. It comes, as seen in the picture, in three versions: Glossy, Semi-gloss and Matte. Prominent structures and textures with peaks that hold their shapes can be produced by applying it with a palette knife or brush. As is the case with all the Golden gels, the glossy version of the Extra Heavy gel can be used to modify the transparency and glossiness level of acrylic paints. The glossy version is also the most transparent when dry. This gel can of course also be used right from the jar as a ground or applied like a thick glaze on already dry paints.
