HyprPrint PaperPrint screenprinting ink was developed for high-quality screenprints on paper, canvas, or cardboard. It's characterized by low odor, a matt finish, and bright colors with medium to high opacity. Also, the colors offer you optimal printing stability as well as exact marginal sharpness. After printing, the screen and all the tools are easy to clean.
Dilution:
Dilution of the color is done with the HyprPrint thinner at 5-10% by weight. You can also mix the paint with the slow drying medium (5-7%). When using slow drying medium and thinner, you should first add the slow drying medium.
Screen:
We recommend PaprPrint screen between 90T and 140T for screen printing with ink. Neon colors should be printed with a 90T screen. Also, we recommend that you print neon colors only on white surfaces, so they retain their luminous character. If you want to print on a colored background with neon colors, you should first print the motif in white. After the white paint completely dries, you can print over it with neon paint.
Paint drying:
Drying takes place within 15 minutes at room temperature. We recommend drying the finished prints in a stack dryer in the air. Alternatively, the prints can also be sent through a tunnel dryer at a maximum of 50°C.
The paint dries due to the evaporation of water. The drying time may vary depending on the nature of the printed image according to the guideline mentioned here. The thickness of the prints or the use of slow drying medium or thinner is what causes the difference.
Cleaning:
For cleaning, we recommend the Bio screen cleaner for watercolors. The screen must be cleaned immediately after printing with a screen cleaner. Dried paint on the screen is difficult to remove.
Stencil:
Please make sure that your stencil is at least waterproof. If you use Easy Blue Emulsion, you're safe.
Squeegee:
For printing, we recommend using a screen squeegee with 75 Shore rubber.
Range:
Depending on the color and the fineness of the screen, coverage of about 40-50 m²/L of color can be expected.
Mixability:
You can mix all shades together freely.
Overprintability:
Almost all colors in the series can be overprinted. The only exceptions are PaperPrint Gold and PaperPrint Silver. These tones should be printed last, as adhesion problems may occur here.
Printability:
Water-based paint likes to dry in the screen. Therefore, we recommend that you always print with a lot of color on the screen. The screen must be re-flooded with ink after each squeegee stroke (paint is lightly squeezed back into the screen with a little pressure from the squeegee). If there is a thick layer of paint on the screen, the color does not dry up in the motif. If fine motifs have dried in the screen, you should completely paint the color out of the motif. You can then clean the free area with a damp cloth.
Shelf life:
1 year in the original sealed container. Please store the color at room temperature below 30°C. You should not return the color from the screen to the original container. Instead, keep it in a separate container.
Safety:
All color shades are free of heavy metals and comply with the DIN Standard EN 71-3.
