The water-based TexPro screen ink has a good opacity due to its high pigmentation (except neon colors, see below). It's pollutant-free, produced according to Ökotex standard 100, and vegan. To create textiles that are as washable as possible, you should heat-fix the color. This heating can be achieved by ironing (on the left), in the oven, in a flash dryer, or a transfer press. Even without the addition of retardant, the screen remains open for quite a long time, so multiple prints are possible without intermediate cleaning. After printing, you can simply clean the screen with Bio Screen Cleaner.
Hints for printing:
With TexPro screen printing ink you can print on screen mesh 32T to 120T. For printing with white paint, we recommend 32T-54T. TexPro is water dilutable to a maximum of 10%. For applying the paint, it's best to use a scraper with a Shore hardness of 60-75.
Opacity of individual shades:
Some shades have less opacity. This is especially true for all shades that do not contain white. The neon shades do not have a high opacity and only come into their own on white textiles. If you want to print on black textiles with neon colors, you should make negative white prints in advance. You can then print over these underprints with neon shades. For all other shades, you can print over them several times until the desired opacity is reached.
Screen printing on synthetic fibers (polyester)
Printing on polyester fabrics may cause sublimation effects. These show up by bleeding the textile dye from the polyester into the printing ink during heating (fixing). To avoid this, you should use a black sublimation blocker, which you print in advance as a barrier layer.
Drying
For good washability, you should indirectly dry the paint at 150°C. It's customary to fix the paint with a common dryer or tunnel dryer. For home use, you can use a hairdryer, hot air dryer, or a heat press. Likewise, you can iron for this purpose, the textile on the left after drying the paint.
For how many prints does the color last?
Colour quantity Number of prints approx.
250 ml 25 T-shirts with a 54T screen fabric with medium pattern size DIN A3
1,000 ml 100 T-shirts with a 54T screen fabric with medium pattern size DIN A3
All colors of the TexPro series can be immediately printed and mixed in one component. The durability is one year.
Note: Before you sell printed textiles, you should definitely do washing tests. We can not guarantee that the color adheres equally well to all textiles. If the prints do not withstand the wash at 30°C, please use the optional curing agent with 1-3% by weight in the color!
