The Jesmonite AC100 retarder is an additive that you can use to extend the working time of Jesmonite AC100. Adding this retarder slows down the curing process, giving you more time for complex applications and detailed work.

We recommend adding 2-8 grams of retarder per kilogram of Jesmonite liquid to extend the working time by up to 30 minutes. The exact amount should be adjusted to the specific requirements and environmental conditions. Factors such as temperature and humidity can influence the effectiveness of the retarder. It is best to try out the retarder with small quantities first to determine the optimum dosage for the desired processing time.

Mixing process: Add the retarder to the Jesmonite liquid and mix thoroughly before incorporating the powder (base). It is important that the retarder is evenly distributed to ensure a homogeneous retardation of the curing process in the material.

The Jesmonite AC100 retarder is not considered dangerous. Nevertheless, you should avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact with eyes, please rinse immediately with clean water and seek medical advice if irritation occurs.

Store the retarder in tightly closed original containers at temperatures between 5 °C and 25 °C. Please protect it from frost and direct sunlight.
