The Jesmonite silicone molds for jewelry are self-separating, reusable casting molds made of flexible silicone that are used to make key rings and earrings. They are suitable for various casting compounds such as Jesmonite, concrete, plaster or other casting compounds and enable numerous casting processes. The service life of the molds depends on the aggressiveness of the casting material. Solvent-based casting compounds put more strain on the mold than plaster-based or wax-based casting compounds. Please note: Dark colors or pigments in the casting compounds can leave marks on the silicone mold. Transport and packaging-related irregularities can usually be rectified by kneading or massaging in hot water and are not grounds for complaint. To correct minor surface and shape irregularities after casting, you can finish the jewelry pieces with sandpaper after they have completely hardened. Depending on the casting material, the castings can be colored.
You can use the molds to create individual jewelry. Homemade jewelry is a wonderful personal gift that bears your creative signature. Experiment with different casting compounds, pigments and colors to create unique pieces of jewelry.
If possible, clean the silicone mold after each use with warm water and mild detergent. Then dry it thoroughly so that it lasts as long as possible. Store the mold in a dust-free place to avoid soiling, which could affect the quality of future casting projects. If you are not using the mold for a longer period of time, it is best to store it lined with a non-aggressive material such as plaster.
