Kakimori nibs made of stainless steel or brass are available to match the Kakimori nib holders (and many other nib holders). They are extremely durable and have been carefully rounded and polished. As a result, these nibs offer an unusually smooth writing experience and, thanks to their shape, allow for a wide range of line widths. You can write and draw from fine to broad by changing the writing angle.

The manufacturer provides the following instructions for using the nibs:

• The initial protective layer on the nib initially slows down the ink flow somewhat. Repeated rinsing and application of the ink will improve the ink flow.
• Strong impacts on the precisely manufactured nib can impair the ink flow.
• The maximum writing angle is 45 degrees.
• To prevent dry ink from accumulating in the grooves, rinse the nib frequently with water during use.
• To remove dried ink, gently brush the nib in water with a soft toothbrush.
• If you want to use a cleaning agent, use a pH-neutral one. Avoid alkaline cleaners as they will damage the surface.
• Brass will develop a natural patina over time.
