General information about carving knives
The chip carving knives from Kirschen are made out of special carbon steel. The blade hardness is from 59 to 61 HRc and the blades are pre-sharpened. Before initial use the blade should be sharpened again on a whetstone in order to achieve their final sharpness. Chip carving knives are used for chip carving embellishments or intarsia.
