The Free-LED task light from Glamox-Luxo is a very powerful office or task light with intelligent light distribution and maximum flexibility. The luminaire offers an attractive combination of direct and indirect light distribution. Here, 30 % of the light is directed downwards onto the workstation and 70 % upwards for indirect room lighting. This mixture of direct and indirect lighting in particular is an important basis for long, fatigue-free working. It is often the supposedly unimportant surrounding surfaces such as walls, shelf surfaces and ceilings that are not sufficiently illuminated, resulting in very indifferent lighting conditions. It is precisely these different luminance levels in the room that cause the iris muscle of the eye to tire more quickly, as it has to constantly fade in and out.

The large lumen package of 14000 lumens also promises sufficient reserves, providing even medium-sized workspaces with stable lighting conditions. At 4000 Kelvin, the light color can be described as neutral white and, in conjunction with the glare-free microprismatic diffuser and an infinitely variable dimmer, creates professional working conditions. The Luxo Free-F LED illuminates the working environment so comprehensively that the latest standards for computer workstation lighting (BAP) are also met. The SPD version of the luminaires is a special feature. The Glamox SPD sensor is a combined PIR (pyroelectric infrared sensor - also known colloquially as a motion detector) and daylight sensor for free-standing luminaires. The sensor controls the free-standing luminaires to a preset daylight reference value when the room is occupied. If the room is unoccupied, the light dims out after the preset time of 10 minutes over 5 minutes. You can adjust the daylight reference value using an optional remote control.

The Free LED is equipped with state-of-the-art light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The diodes in the Free have an expected life expectancy of 50,000 hours. This means that they will last 25 years or longer in normal office use, so you will probably rarely or never have to change the light source.

The Free-LED floor lamp is supplied in three boxes and is easy to install. Two Allen keys, size 4 and 2, are required to connect the standpipe to the base and luminaire head and to connect the cables from the standpipe to the ports on the luminaire head. The luminaire can then be positioned anywhere in the office landscape. The U-shaped cut-out in the base of the luminaire also allows it to be positioned directly on table legs.
