With the Marabu Soft Lino printing set for textiles, you can design light-colored textiles with individual lino prints. It contains all the materials you need to carve your own motifs and print them onto fabrics. Suitable for light-colored, finish- and fabric softener-free textiles with up to 20 % synthetic fiber content. The printed textiles are washable at up to 40 °C water temperature after you have fixed the printing ink. You can do this by either heating the finished textile in the oven at 150 °C for 8 minutes or ironing it with an iron for 3 minutes without steam.
When creating your printing plate, make sure that your motif is printed mirrored. Similar to a stamp, you must therefore create your motif on the printing plate in mirror image. First draw your desired motif on the soft printing plate and cut it out using the enclosed cutting tool. When your printing plate is finished, apply the textile printing ink evenly to the carved plate using the foam roller. Then place the inked plate on your textile and press firmly to transfer the print. Then (after drying) fix the printing ink as described above. Finally, after fixing with the textile watercolors, you can create additional highlights or colored areas on your print with the brush.
When selecting the textiles you want to print on, please note that the colors are only suitable for light-colored, finish- and fabric softener-free textiles with up to 20% synthetic fibers. Please stir the colors well before use and clean work materials with water as soon as possible after use.
