Etched brass square-holed sheetfrom 15,10 €
Etched brass sheets are a popular material for building high-quality architectural models. You can solder them well, cut them with scissors or cutter and bend them easily with precision.
The etched structures in brass sheets are created by the action of acid on the metal. This is first partially coated with acid-resistant lacquer and then etched in an acid bath. The acid dissolves the metal in the unprinted areas. After rinsing, the lacquer is removed again. The process is quite costly - also because of the disposal of the chemicals used. But the results are extremely delicate and ravishingly beautiful.
