Whether picture frames, flower pots or trays: With Montana Effect Spray Granite, you can give numerous surfaces a convincing natural stone look. The water-based spray paint is suitable for paper, cardboard, primed canvases, wood, glass, metal, ceramics, porcelain and stone as well as paintable plastics. A spray test carried out on a non-visible area gives you certainty whether your object and the effect spray are compatible. For very smooth surfaces, it is recommended to sand them before using the spray. If you want to use light colors on dark surfaces, it is advisable to prime the surface beforehand.
After shaking the can for 2 to 3 minutes, apply the spray from left to right in a crisscrossing motion. Keep a distance of about 20 to 30 cm. The optimum application temperature is between 10 and 25 °C. The maximum humidity should not exceed 60%. Due to the high water content, drying takes a little longer than with other coatings. However, your granite project is usually dust-dry after about 60 minutes and touch-dry after 4 hours. The effect spray is completely dry after about 24 to 48 hours. As soon as it is completely hardened, you can work on it with nitro combination or acrylic lacquers if necessary.
The granite spray, which can also be used as a texture spray, is highly opaque and lightfast. You can wash it off within 30 minutes if necessary. On its own - without appropriate sealing - it is not suitable for outdoor use.
Note: Montana Effect Spray Granite black contains green and black plastic particles for an authentic result.
