Transfer film, or “Application Tape”, is used to transfer cut-out letters that have already been trimmed. The adhesive side of the film should be placed over the front side of your lettering or motif before the protective paper cover is removed from the backside of the lettering or motif. In this way, the lettering remains in position and you are saved the time-consuming necessity of arranging the letters one at a time. The film’s high tensile strength makes it easy to position exactly where you want. Its low degree of adhesive strength allows the film to be easily removed even from paper after your lettering has been transferred whereby it can then be used again if you wish. Even after a time period of six months, it is still possible to remove it without leaving any residue and without any noticeable increase in its stickiness as might be expected with a glue that has aged. It should be noted that in the above instance, the film is then not suitable for use outdoors for the long-term.
