Gilding

For decorative objects around the house, gilding with base materials like metal leaf, metal gloss paints and gilt cream is generally more than adequate. There is hardly any surface – be it wood, glass, paper, cardboard, polystyrene foam, wax, ceramic, porcelain, clay, stone, metal, leather, plastic or fabric – which cannot be gilded to great effect and relatively inexpensive in the bargain.
