The ink application with the Pilot colored pencil leads can be erased—this is not always the case with other colored fine leads. Lines with the light blue lead are not reproduced during black and white scanning and copying. That's why you can, e.g. for mangas or cartoon scenes, make the final drawing directly on the sketch with a black ink or felt-tip pen, without having to erase the auxiliary lines afterwards.
