The dimensions of the polystyrene round tubes already make it clear that we are talking about tenths of a millimeter here. The tubes are therefore very dimensionally accurate and precisely produced. This makes them very suitable for precisely machined models. You can work the polystyrene quite easily. It can be easily sawn or scribed and broken with a cutter. In both cases, it is advisable to regrind the polystyrene. The cut parts are then joined with adhesives. Joining by means of a solvent (dichloromethane) is certainly the most accurate option, since no adhesive residue will ooze out or remain anywhere. Superglue, however, is similarly invisible. To join the strips with other materials, the colorless plastic adhesive Ruderer L530 is a good choice.
