A geometry triangle is, when viewed soberly, a plastic part that is quite inexpensive and produced thousands of times. On closer inspection, however, one realizes: there are countless details that show it to be very sophisticated and thus extremely useful. For example, the small nubs on the underside keep a very small distance between the pen and the paper. This means that strokes do not smudge when the triangle is pulled away after a line has been drawn on it with ink. The printed lines at five-millimeter intervals from the hypotenuse make it easy to draw parallels. The opposite degree scales make it easy to determine angles. And thanks to the piercing point for compasses, lengths can also be set effortlessly in the compass without anything slipping.
