Rigid-PVC with the anti-reflex surface has one side of it lightly grained so that, when used as a covering or framing glass, distracting reflections are avoided. The plastic is transparent as long as its glossy side lies directly on its target material (contact transparency). As soon as it is lifted away from the background, however, this transparency diminishes. This attribute meant that this PVC was predestined to only being used in model making when an unclear view of any interior spaces was desirable.
