The Schmincke College Structuring Paste is a white, lightweight acrylic paste for making structural and textural effects and will even work on flexible substrates such as a canvas on a stretcher frame. Because of its comparatively low weight it is ideal for use on large surfaces or with bulky collages. It can be used pure or mixed with acrylic paints and should be applied with a palette knife on a greaseless substrate. Coats thicker than 1 centimetre should be applied in stages. After drying, the paste can be overpainted with acrylic paints. It can be diluted with water but is water-insoluble when dry!
