Horadam from Schmincke is a watercolor paint available in 139 brilliant, harmoniously coordinated shades (95 of which are single-pigment shades). The color impresses with its good solubility (even after drying on the palette) and optimal color release (for an always controllable color gradient even on soft watercolor papers).

The hiding power of a pigmented color depends on its layer thickness and the pigment used. At Horadam, the scale ranges from glazing (e.g. glaze yellow) to opaque (e.g. vermilion). Although the color is relatively lightfast (depending on the pigment), watercolor paintings should not be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time because of the mostly fine and light-sensitive color application. To avoid excessive color change over time, works can be treated with a UV protective varnish.

Horadam Watercolors can be mixed or combined with SCHMINCKE AKADEMIE AQUARELLFARBE as well as with SCHMINCKE HILFSMITTEL F. AQUARELL.

The set of 10 with the large tubes is like a basic set and contains frequently used colors. The set of 12 with 1/2 cups in the long metal box has room for another 12 small color cups. The compact set of 12 in the short metal box also includes a brush. The set of 48 contains 47 colors and one additional cup of ONETZ flow agent. The set of 48 in the wooden box contains 47 colors, ONETZ and additionally a porcelain palette.
