The screw caps are the perfect addition to our glass jars. They are the secure closure for storing cosmetic products, ointments, creams or food. They close tightly and prevent the ingress of air and moisture so that the contents can be kept for longer and retain their quality.

The lids are made of Bakelite, one of the first mass-produced plastics at the beginning of the 20th century. Bakelite is a durable thermosetting plastic that is easy to clean. As the seal is glued in, we recommend only washing the lids by hand with warm water and mild washing-up liquid. The adhesive could come loose in the dishwasher.

The screw-on lids are not resistant to all chemicals. Strong acids or solvents in particular can damage the material or impair the sealing ability.
