The Blackwing long cone sharpener gets your graphite and colored pencils into shape. The compact design, made of matte black aluminum, relies on a concave steel blade for this purpose. The tip produced is long and curved, as well as break-resistant.

You can sharpen about three pencils before it's time to empty the body. The steel blade can be replaced if necessary.

You can use the Hahnemühle graph paper pad for precise drawings in technical, scientific and creative fields. The Staedtler Pigment Liner is a fineliner for writing, sketching and drawing. Its very long metal point makes it especially good for doing work with straight edges or templates. The pigment ink is archival safe, lightfast, waterproof and will not bleed when highlighted. It is also erasable when used on tracing paper. The new „cap-off ink“ allows the pen to be left uncapped for up to 18 hours without drying up.

The pack offers a varyity of line widths, started with 0,05 mm up to 0,8 mm line, for all kind of diefferent drawings.

Versatile and tough like the colorful city on the Spree: The drawing book Berlin is for all kinds of fun. You can work with pencil, charcoal, pastel, acrylic, gouache, ink and, and, and. The 140 g / m² heavy, acid-free paper is suitable for both wet and dry techniques. It is natural white and offers you a fine-grained, matte surface.

A total of 80 sheets or 160 pages are available for urban sketches, travel drawings, centangles and much more. Thus, the drawing book Berlin offers you the flexibility to decide again and again what you feel like.

The sturdy leatherette cover, which can be closed with an elastic band, serves as a practical base when you are drawing on the go. On the other hand, it reliably protects your sketches and notes from bends and dirt.

For us personally, another highlight of the drawing book Berlin: It was designed for us. The sketch on the sleeve is by our colleague Regula Neeracher.

The storage tubes from Rumold are distinguished from other transport tubes by their cap. It allows any contents to be removed without having to split the two tube halves.

The universal drawing pad is made up of heavy and very dense bright white drawing paper (190 g/m²) with a matte, but not especially rough surface. It is great for use with dry drawing materials like lead, charcoal, chalk or coloured pencil, but also for water colours and inks in line form.

This classic art knife with its sturdy round handle and low cost is best used for fine cutting work in paper, cardboard and thin foils or films. The set includes one knife with a protective cap and 5 blades in a safe and handy bin.

The "Professional" series from Dahle is designed to satisfy the highest demands for a perfect and consistent cutting result. Precisely ground cutting blades produce very exact cuts.

The centre screw has a nylon washer that makes any readjustment of the blades extremely easy - which means that the blades will always cut along their entire length if you are vigilant.

When needed, the Dahle Professional blades can be taken apart and re-ground (sharpened), which of course increases their service life and assures that you will never lose the joy that comes from cutting with a great tool!

The "Professional" model which is either 8 or 10 inches long is best suited for making long, precise cuts. As the name implies, the large Dahle scissors are great for cutting paper but they can also be used with most other flat materials.

This hot melt glue gun is very reasonably priced, is solidly built and ideal for anyone that is working on handicrafts, decoration or do-it-yourself projects but does not want to pay five times as much for a battery-operated, quick-heating model. Conventional glue sticks with a diameter of 11 mm and a working temperature between 170 and 210 °C can be used in this entry-level hot glue gun, whether they are colourless, highly transparent or coloured.

After a warm-up time of about 8 to 10 minutes, the melted glue can be used to make fast, medium-strong glue bonds between a variety of materials – from cardboard to wood to metal. The intended materials only have to be insensitive to temperature; polystyrene foam, for example, will melt upon application while thermoplastic plastics like polystyrene or acrylic glass may suffer deformation. It is often an advantage that the glue cools quickly but in the case of metals this can be problematic because metals conduct away heat relatively quickly and this can result in the failure of a bond to completely form.

The amount of glue is controlled by the trigger of the gun and applied through the nozzle to usually one side of the intended material whereby it is possible to bridge over a gap of a few milimeters between the pieces to be glued. The glue is already cured after two minutes and can then be put under load. Obviously the strength of such a bond is not comparable to one made with PATTEX, but for quick bonds or the gluing of lightweight materials in handicrafts work, hot glue is a super choice.

Upon completion of your job, you should prepare for the fact that the nozzle of the gun, after pulling out the plug and placing the gun on its stand, can continue to release droplets for as long as it takes for the glue within to cool – in short, you should place something beneath it!

And a further remark regarding the guarantee: as already mentioned, the gun can be used with any glue stick that conforms to the proper melting temperature and the given diameter. The manufacturer´s guarantee will not be valid if it can be proven that you have used inappropriate glue sticks…

Photo Mount creates permanent bonds with high adhesive strength. Readjusting is possible within 5 minutes after application. Foto Mount is primarily used for permanently affixing foils and films, photo paper, posters, prints, drawings, charts, etc.

The spray is very fine and even and the coat of glue will not discolour. According to 3M, the contents of a can (400 ml) are enough to cover approximately 3 m² (seems to be a small area but 3M explains that Photo Mount is usually applied to both sides).

Ponal express is the quick setting version of the normal Ponal. This glue works just as well in the same areas of use, should not be worked with at temperatures under 7 °C and should be stored in a cool place that will not freeze. The Ponal express bottles can likewise be lain on their side by employing the bulge in the bottle supplied for that purpose.

It has been our experience that Ponal express can likewise be washed out of most textiles using normal detergent at 40 °C.

Cellulose thinner is a high quality, methanol-free thinner with which practically all known paints can be thinned if they are based on nitro, nitro-combination or chlorinated rubber. Air-dried and bakeable synthetic resin paints, epikote based two-component paints as well as air and oven dried zapon paints can also be thinned with cellulose thinner.

The thinner has a high degree of detaching force with the result that the paint can be made ready to use by adding only a small amount. A high degree of lamination strength with few coats of spray is a further consequence. It provides the paint with very good spreading attributes, a high gloss and contains only solvents that will dissolve without a trace. This thinner can of course be used as a cleaner and degreaser of metals or non-soluble plastics as well as for cleaning brushes, cylinders and tools and for removing glue residues.

The technique for transferring copies that uses acetone (see ACETONE) produces even better results if cellulose thinner is used; this thinner will even solubilize coloured magazine page print relatively well. Unfortunately, it does contain chemicals that are harmful to health and can therefore only be recommended in a limited way for use in such work. The minimum prerequisite for the work being done this way at all is good ventilation – even better would be a protective mask.

Our Modulor kneaded eraser helps to remove too much paint or material from graphite pencils, pastel crayons or charcoal, giving your work the necessary depth and three-dimensionality. The handy natural rubber achieves this without the addition of plastics or phthalates, which is why we love it all the more.

The Dahle lead sharpener brings the leads of your drawing pencil into shape. The sturdy plastic housing houses an integrated roller cutter for 2 mm thick leads. The design also features two measuring devices so you can choose between writing and drawing tip variants. The automatic tip stop ensures optimal results in both cases. For a clean lead tip, the accessory is equipped with a dust scraper.

Once you have taken this beautiful, weighty pencil sharpener in your hand you won’t want to put it down. And because the precision blade is replaceable it can serve as a lifelong companion.

The drawing brush with wooden handle is a practical tool that you can use to clean the drawing surface (usually the paper) when drawing. You can use the broom to remove eraser residue, dust or loose dirt from your drawings, plans or other work on the drawing table without damaging the surface. It's even a bit of fun and feels good.

In the days when architects and technical draughtsmen still drew by hand with ink on tracing paper, a correction in the plan always involved scratching away the dried ink (the mistake) with a razor blade, then smoothing the tracing paper in the scratched area with a glass eraser and finally sweeping away the crumbs from the scratching and erasing. Only then was it possible to continue drawing.

Today, the plans come out of the plotter and if corrections need to be made, a new print job is sent to the plotter. This has made the drawing broom somewhat rarer, but the broom continues to provide excellent service wherever drawings are made by hand and occasionally erased.
