In the United States, such a box is called a utility box. This is difficult to translate, so let's stick with the storage box or stacking box. Such injection-moulded crates are offered everywhere, but we have opted for a higher quality with a stable frame construction and a generous wall thickness, which not only makes the bottom—but the entire crate as well—extremely dimensionally stable. In any case, you can load pretty much anything into these boxes, because they are also resistant to most acids and oils. Food can also be stored safely in the stacking boxes. They can be stacked, even crossways and lengthways; that is to say, the smaller sizes can also be stacked sideways, with two next to each other on top of the larger ones.
The reason why the stacking height is lower than the external dimensions is because the lowered floor disappears underneath when stacking in the box.
The internal dimensions, weights, and volumes of the boxes are (h x w x l), with the volume in liters corresponding to the approximate load capacity in kilograms:
300x400mm:
- Stack height 110 mm: 115 x 266 x 366 mm, 690 g, 11 liters
- Stack height 227 mm: 232 x 266 x 366 mm, 950 g, 23 liters
We also offer two different lids for these stacking boxes. Of course, the boxes can also be stacked with the lid.
