Stattys Write & Slide are moderation cards, sticky-notes and magnetic foil all in one. These ultrathin, writeable pieces of film that are shaped like cards will adhere to a surface without glue, relying instead on static cling and this is what makes it possible to slide them around at will. Stattys will adhere to practically any smooth surface including doors, plaster walls and pinboards made from soft-fibre board. They always remain flat on the wall and will not curve out at the edges even after long-time use (and we are talking months here!). They can be written on with waterproof markers (e.g. LUMOCOLOR PERMANENT), ballpoint pens and pencils.
The Stattys Write & Slide put their best foot forward when used as moderation cards in advisory and planning meetings because their use requires neither whiteboards or pinboards nor needles, glue or magnets. The course of a discussion and its important points as well as things like a collection of ideas or project description can be visually presented in a matter of seconds and easily rearranged to show different emphases or conceptions.
Stattys Write & Slide can of course also be used as basic sticky-notes, bookmarks that will stay in place, temporary and rearrangeable sun protectors on a window (they will bleach out after a few weeks!) or for covering up text passages in books that need to be excluded from photocopying. Arrows cut out of the Stattys film can be used as temporary aids for giving directions while their use as a cheat sheet stuck to the bottom of a desk could serve to save some student from a failing grade! (Modulor in no way endorses such behavior!).
A perfect complement to the Stattys Write & Slide is the stattys whiteboard film, which is also self-adhering and which can provide the perfect surface for applying the little notes and sliding them around. If you want, you can take the whiteboard off the wall with the sticky-notes still attached to it, roll it up and then reuse it again at a later date. Both of these products are made of 100% polypropylene, which of course makes them completely recyclable.
“This material originally comes from Finland - just like me”, says Mikko Mannila, the managing director of Finnovations GmbH (corporation) in a short video on Stattys TV. In the video he is pointing at a Finnish flag that he has painted on a Stattys film sheet and grinning a sly smile. It’s hard to imagine a more congenial way to present a new product to the world.
