A good scissors is made out of hardened steel, ground numerous times, screwed together and “made in Germany” – attributes that, along with having a great appearance, can be found in almost all of the Dahle scissors that we have on offer.
As a result of double grinding the scissors are really sharp and remain so that much longer. After long time use, sharpening these scissors is a fairly basic operation. After extensive use, the scissors can be reset by means of the screw. (The screw serves as a joint and holds the two slightly bent blades taut so that the blades come together perfectly during cutting.
The less expensive scissors are only ground once. They are also only held together by a rivet (the screw head is only an imitation) and “made in China”; still, they are certainly good enough for basic office use.
