Pink or purple? Quite clearly: both! You can use the Hobby Line cutting mat in one color or the other, depending on your mood. Both sides have a rough anti-slip finish. So your workpieces remain reliably in place and the mat lies safely on your work surface.

Since the surface of the three-layer design is self-healing, superficial cuts close immediately. The blade of your knife is not distracted by traces of previous work and you can make the next cut just as precisely as the previous one. The high-contrast grids with practical centimeter divisions provide you with good orientation. They are printed on both sides of the cutting mat.

Practical tip: To ensure that the colorful cutting mat keeps its shape and does not curl, we recommend that you store it lying down and not rolled up. Furthermore, it is advisable not to expose it to moisture or direct sunlight for a longer period of time.

This cutting mat will serve you well for all types of work with a cutter or scalpel. The surface is self-healing. The mat is gray on one side and blue on one side. You can choose the color for yourself according to your preferences and surroundings, the color does not represent a distinction in terms of quality. The following applies to cutting mats in general: it is better to store them lying down than standing, never roll them, do not expose them to moisture, and do not expose them to direct sunlight for long periods of time. Otherwise, all of the above will lead to ripples and you will no longer be able to make precise cuts on a wavy cutting mat.

This permanent adhesive spray is an economically priced, universal glue that is designed less for working with paper and photographs than for large area bonds on lighter weight materials usually found in workshops and handicrafts. The possible materials include cardboard, wood veneer, cork, leather, various textiles, soft foams, rubber and different types of plastic films. Our experience has shown that it can also be used to bond polystyrene (rigid) foam (styrofoam, styropor) – but preliminary tests should be made on the actual material you plan on using.

Please note when working with paper that the strong version of the Weicon spray adhesive will bleed through on paper that is less than 130 g/m².

The spray pattern from this version is somewhat unpredictable, which means it is not really great for use on smaller surfaces. According to the manufacturer, the contents of the can is sufficient to coat about 4 m² (depending, of course, on the type of material(s) being bonded). In comparison to the adhesive sprays from 3M, the Weicon sprays are less expensive and have a longer open time (working time), which for many jobs can be a real advantage while for others it might be a negative.

The standard snap-off blades are oiled to prevent rusting. As a result, the ten blades in the translucent plastic pack stick together somewhat and separating the blades is not without danger. The best way to do this is to use the old blade that you want to replace and use it to separate the top blade from the stack from the sharp blade side.

A sharp blade is the essential prerequisite for an exact and easy cut. Therefore, you should not skimp on it and actually break off the snap-off blades frequently. Of course, there are differences in quality such as blade hardness that cause some blades to dull faster while others stay sharp longer.
